Perfect Chocolate Cake

2 cups sugar

  • 1 2/4 cups flour
  • ¾ cups cocoa
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water 

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees

    Combine dry ingredients in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla extract.  Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed. Stir in boiling water.  Pour into two 9inch round and greased and floured pans.  Bake for 30-35 minutes.  Cool and remove from pans.

     

    Icing: 

     Mix together 1 cup milk and 4 tbs. flour.  Cook on stovetop until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; cover and put in refrigerator until cold

    .Mix together ½ cup Crisco, 1 tsp vanilla extract, ½ cup butter, 1 cup sugar, beat until fluffy;  Add mixture to cold mixture and beat for 4 minutes.  Ice Cake
