Texas Sheet Cake
1 cup water
4 tbs. cocoa
2 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups flour
2 eggs
½ cup sour cream
Bring to a boil 1 cup water, cocoa and butter. Pour into mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients, beat until smooth. Pour into greased and floured sheet cake pan. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees. Cook icing while cake bakes.
Icing:
½ cup butter
3 tbs. milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbs. cocoa
½ box confectioners sugar
Bring all ingredients to boil. Cool slightly (keep warm), Spread over cake as soon as cake is removed from the oven. Can refrigerate
